Our client is a well-known finance company in NYC that is looking for a Hospitality Assistant to support events and hospitality services. This is a well-established company with a warm and welcoming environment. Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60k – $75k
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Hospitality Assistant who brings a positive attitude and strong initiative to the workplace. The ideal candidate will have the ability to execute executive meeting set-ups, including beverage and food presentation, in-meeting refreshments, and clean-up for external guests or special internal events.
Responsibilities of the Hospitality Assistant:
- Ensure the entire Conference Center area meets the highest appearance standards, including but not limited to wiping down all glass doors, light trash removal, and consistent communication with Receptionists and Day Matrons regarding maintenance (e.g., artwork level, furniture stability and condition, floral arrangements, etc.).
- Communicate and coordinate with IT for all technology setup requirements for meetings.
- Assist guests and internal employees with Conference Center technology and basic troubleshooting. Coordinate with Enhanced Deskside Support Technicians as needed.
- Receive and respond to customer complaints, comments, and inquiries with professionalism.
Required Experience/Skills for the Hospitality Assistant:
- Minimum 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Polished and professional appearance required.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and/or stand for extended periods.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Hospitality Assistant:
- Previous hospitality, service industry, or event coordination experience is preferred.
Education Requirements:
- A 4-year Bachelor’s degree is required.
