Client Overview:

Our client is a reputable financial services firm that is looking to add an HR Business Partner to their team! They specialize in financial solutions, offering a variety of products to support small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$40/hr – $45/hr

Position Overview:

The HR Business Partner is a strategic role that serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues. The HR Business Partner will act as an employee champion and change agent, assessing and anticipating HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with the HR department and business management, the HR Business Partner seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HR Business Partner formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities for the HR Business Partner:

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Manage and resolve performance issues, providing coaching and support to managers.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Lead and manage HR projects to support change initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • The HR Business Partner will act as a change agent to support the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives.

Required Experience/Skills for the HR Business Partner:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a business partner role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the HR Business Partner:

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
