Our client is a law firm that has been around for over 75 years, with multiple offices nationwide. They are looking to add an HR Talent Partner to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$140k – $175k Annually

Position Overview:

The HR Talent Partner will play a key role in supporting the Talent Acquisition team in strategic initiatives, supporting various departments, and offering consultative and creative expertise. The HR Talent Partner will cultivate associations with designated business units, offices, or regions to gain a comprehensive understanding of business strategies and facilitate the implementation of superior talent practices.

Responsibilities of the HR Talent Partner:

  • Establish collaborative relationships with the wider Talent group and the Firm for understanding and supporting business requisites and developing relevant tools and resources to bolster leadership, team, and individual efficacy.
  • Design and execute communication and change management plans furthering Talent and Firm programs.
  • Act as a reliable advisor and counselor to business leaders, offering guidance when necessary.
  • Engage with Talent cohorts to analyze trends and metrics, and formulate solutions, strategies, and policies.
  • Strategize and implement custom-built talent progression and succession plans to meet business goals.
  • Execute performance management practices with partnership support.
  • Efficiently manage and resolve intricate employee relations issues across diverse business segments and regions.
  • Keep proficient knowledge of statutory requirements and company policies to ensure managerial compliance, reduce legal risk, and collaborate with the general counsel as required.
  • Enhance work relationships, morale, and productivity while maintaining a low turnover rate.
  • The HR Talent Partner will work in collaboration with the Talent team to formulate best practices for staff movement.
  • Aid in organizing internal processes and defining roles for Talent Partners in collaboration with Talent team and business.
  • Support the general department operations and strategic business management of the Chief Talent Officer and Talent Leadership team.
  • Supervise the team through yearly goal setting, budgeting, and continuous tracking.
  • Manage Talent Leadership meetings by overseeing scheduling, agenda setting, and tracking action points to ensure completion.
  • Conceptualize and implement Talent communication strategies.
  • Assist the team in focusing on priorities and optimizing efficiency through proper project management systems.
  • Interlink various workstreams within the Talent team’s Centers of Excellence (COEs).
  • Undertake occasional travel.
  • Perform other allied duties as needed.

Qualifications for the HR Talent Partner:

  • A minimum of seven years of experience in the Human Resources domain within a professional service or legal setting.
  • Proficiency in various HR verticals including organizational assessment, employee relations, diversity, performance management, payment practices, and understanding of federal and state employment laws.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and listening abilities.
  • Acute organizational skills with close attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, guidelines, regulations, rules, and policies.
  • Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
  • Expertise in managing projects of diverse scale and scope.
  • Apt in addressing employee relations matters.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in fields like Organization Development, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
  • Higher degree or certification in HR will be considered a plus.
