Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality molded components for various industries. They are committed to precision, safety, and continuous improvement in our production processes. They are now looking for an Injection Molding Operator.

$23/hr

Position Overview:

The Injection Molding Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring injection molding machines to produce high-quality molded components according to production schedules and quality standards. This includes setting up equipment, inspecting products, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

Responsibilities of the Injection Molding Operator:

  • Operate injection molding machines following established procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform mold changes and basic machine setups under guidance of technical staff.
  • Record production data such as quantities, downtime, and scrap.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or process deviations.
  • Package finished goods accurately.
  • Mix materials according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to set up machinery.
  • Adjust machine settings for temperature, pressure, and timing to meet specifications.
  • Conduct first article inspections and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain consistent flow and quality of parts produced.
  • Clean and maintain machines and equipment for optimal operation.
  • Install molds onto machines using clamps, bolts, and hand tools.
  • Keep work area clean and organized, following safety and 5S guidelines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and report hazards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Skills for the Injection Molding Operator:

  • 1+ years of experience operating molding machines.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and production calculations.
  • Knowledge of Profax and P5M6K materials preferred.
  • Understanding of basic machine controls and mechanical functions.
  • Advanced decoupling skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing safety and quality control principles.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Injection Molding Operator:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
