Our client is an e-commerce organization specializing in home goods and electronics. They are looking to add an International Logistics Specialist to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50k – $60k

Position Overview:

We are seeking an International Logistics Specialist to oversee and streamline port-to-port logistics. The International Logistics Specialist will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities of the Internal Logistics Specialist:

  • Develop and monitor international routing instructions for suppliers while continuously evaluating process improvements and strategy
  • Provide ongoing analyses in areas such as transportation costs, warehouse efficiency, or service level
  • Oversee the coordination of the importation of shipments from our suppliers to multiple warehouses via various transportation modes (truck, ocean, air)
  • Act as the main point of contact for Customs Brokers on escalated duty rate issues to ensure efficient flow of the import process and maintain Customs/BSI file integrity
  • Manage timely preparation of customs entries, ISF filings, and payment of duties and fees and review import documentation, recordkeeping, and submit TTB Monthly Statutory Reporting

Qualifications for the International Logistics Specialist:

  • 2 – 5 years of relevant experience Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required
  • Management experience is preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred
  • Familiarity with governmental initiatives such as FDA prior notice, Customs C-TPAT program, Customs

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required
