Our client is a global distributor within the Food & Beverage industry. They are seeking a Inventory Supervisor to join their team!
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30 – $40/hr
Position Overview:
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible to manage the Distribution Center inventory accuracy physically and systematically across all systems. This Inventory Supervisor position will oversee, and audit physical inventories and cycle counts performed by the third party logistics vendor at the Distribution Center.
Responsibilities of the Inventory Supervisor:
- Provide resolution for all inventory-related problems that may arise, involving IT or adjusting processes if necessary
- Perform, confirm, and resolve all cycle count discrepancies on a daily basis
- Ensure proper transactions are done in processing of work orders, deviations, material transfers, transport request, and other documents
- Interact and communicate daily with the warehouse and production personnel, schedulers, work team leaders and personnel concerning inventory discrepancies
- Collaborate with business partners to identify and resolve discrepancies between systems to reduce service risks in the overall supply chain
- Ensure all inventory processes, both internal and external, are compliant with the current policies at all times
- Develop dashboards on any critical KPIs related to Distribution Centers
- Responsible for monthly inventory reports for Supply Chain leadership meetings
- Identify and lead continuous improvement Inventory-related initiatives
- Research and correct inventory records when reported by production and/or receiving such as research and verification of packing slips
Qualifications for the Inventory Supervisor:
- 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience
- General knowledge of all warehouse operating systems and EDI
- Strong Knowledge of SAP and IDoc (Inventory) management
- Strong communications skills in a multi-cultural environment
- Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills
- Demonstrated team building skills
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain is required
