Client Overview:

Our client is the nation’s leading resource for the management and development of sports, recreation, wellness, and event facilities. They are currently expanding their team and looking to add an IT Help Desk Administrator.

Salary/Hourly Rate: 

$23/hr – $25/hr

Position Overview: 

The IT Help Desk Administrator will provide detailed and competent application, hardware, project, and help desk support for the home office and supported facilities. Additionally, this role will be responsible for overseeing an organization’s computer systems or database networks to ensure proper maintenance and security.

Responsibilities of the IT Help Desk Administrator:

  • Primary contact responsible for all support for supported applications.
  • Work closely with Vendors, Network Support, and Development teams to support and identify network or computer system needs, overseeing the installation of new hardware or software, and use team member feedback to isolate issues.
  • Responsible for managing the documentation process of detailing installation and maintenance processes and procedures of all managed applications.
  • Coordinate with end users for training and implementation of supported software applications and computer usage.  
  • Responsible for assisting with end-user hardware and software installations, performance monitoring, training, and preventative maintenance. Initiating and assisting with troubleshooting the desktop environment, PCs, peripherals, and accessories. 
  • Responsible for initial troubleshooting of all application-related issues in a timely and acceptable manner.
  • Primary contact for all IT helpdesk calls during office hours, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
  • Responsible for initial documentation of all helpdesk calls and maintenance performance within the help desk software.
  • Responsible for maintaining the solutions database within the help desk software related to IS issues.
  • Initial contact for creation, changes, and deletion of all related user accounts, including Azure Active Directory / Entra ID, Apple Business Manager, and other managed applications.
  • Coordinate with Network Support for updates, upgrades, and service patches and fixes.

Required Experience/Skills for the IT Help Desk Administrator:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in either application or help desk support in a client/server environment.
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft platforms and network infrastructure.  Proficient in maintaining and supporting Microsoft and Apple OS computers and peripheral hardware.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, other technical staff, and vendors.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the IT Help Desk Administrator:

  • CompTIA and Microsoft-related certifications are preferred.
  • User training experience is preferred.

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
