Our client is a growing organization in the legal services space with a strong national presence. As the firm continues to expand, they are adding a Junior Accountant to their Accounting team to support day-to-day financial operations and provide a strong foundation for future growth.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$40k – $50k
Position Overview:
The Junior Accountant is an entry-level role designed to support the Accounting and Finance team with daily financial operations. This position is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn, grow, and gain exposure to accounting within a professional services environment.
Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant:
- The Junior Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry and account maintenance.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Help prepare and review invoices, expense reports, and supporting documentation.
- The Junior Accountant will assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
- Maintain accurate financial records and organized documentation.
- The Junior Accountant will collaborate with Accounting and Administrative teams to resolve discrepancies.
Required Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant:
- 1 – 3 years of accounting or finance experience (internship experience considered).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant:
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal services environment.
- Exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger support.
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent legal accounting experience, is required.
