Our client is a well-established luxury specialty retail organization focused on delivering a highly personalized, relationship-driven client experience. They are looking to add a Luxury Assistant Store Manager to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$120k – $125k + 10% Bonus eligibility

Position Overview:

The Luxury Assistant Store Manager serves as a brand ambassador and key business leader within the store. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role supports all aspects of sales leadership, client experience, team development, and operational excellence. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Luxury Assistant Store Manager assumes full responsibility for the store’s success. The ideal candidate leads with empathy, strong business acumen, and a hospitality-driven approach tailored to a local, neighborhood-focused clientele.

Responsibilities of the Luxury Assistant Store Manager:

  • Drive individual and departmental sales performance, meeting and exceeding business goals.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to deliver exceptional, personalized customer experiences.
  • Build and grow a loyal client base through relationship-building, networking, and local market outreach.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to oversee client interactions and ensure consistent, high-touch service standards.
  • Develop and execute client events and networking opportunities to expand the local client base.
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge and ensure the team utilizes available training and clienteling tools.
  • Support training initiatives focused on sales techniques, customer service, product knowledge, and operational excellence.
  • Assign and prioritize daily tasks and staff activities.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and assist with floor sets and merchandising changes.
  • Complete operational responsibilities, including opening/closing procedures and daily store functions.
  • Communicate store and company objectives clearly and professionally to the team.
  • Monitor team performance and support evaluations in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for corporate partners.
  • Support onboarding and development of new team members.
  • Uphold all company policies and procedures.

Required Experience/Skills for the Luxury Assistant Store Manager:

  • 5 – 8 years of experience in a comparable leadership role within a luxury retail environment.
  • Proven ability to drive business results through team leadership.
  • Strong clienteling skills with the ability to cultivate and retain high-value clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to lead with empathy, professionalism, and a hospitality-focused mindset.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varied schedules.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Luxury Assistant Store Manager:

  • Experience within a luxury monobrand environment.
  • Existing client book or strong demonstrated ability to build one.
  • Familiarity with neighborhood-driven retail and local clientele dynamics.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma is required.
  • College degree is preferred.
