Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer in the natural health and consumer products industry seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to support operations. With decades of industry presence, the organization continues to enhance operational processes while maintaining a performance-driven and team-oriented culture.
This facility operates in a cGMP-compliant environment focused on the production of dietary supplements and related consumer products. The position is based near Woodbridge, NJ.

Salary Range:

$75k – $85k

Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily production activities across blending, encapsulation, tablet compression, and coating operations. This is not a desk-based position and requires consistent presence on the production floor to ensure equipment performance, quality compliance, and schedule attainment.
This Manufacturing Supervisor role requires direct working knowledge of manufacturing equipment categories including powder blending systems, capsule filling equipment, tablet compression machinery, coating systems, and supporting material handling equipment. A strong understanding of GMP best practices and regulated manufacturing standards is essential.

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Supervisor:

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day operations within blending, encapsulation, compression, and coating departments.
  • Provide hands-on floor leadership and technical oversight of core manufacturing equipment categories.
  • Execute production in alignment with the master production schedule.
  • Monitor output, labor efficiency, material utilization, and schedule adherence.
  • Ensure strict compliance with cGMP, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production personnel.
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Sanitation to resolve operational challenges.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and reporting.

Required Experience/Skills for the Manufacturing Supervisor:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline OR 5+ years of related manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (supplement, pharmaceutical, food, or similar).
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.
  • Experience working with blending, encapsulation, and compression equipment categories.
  • Strong understanding of GMP best practices.
  • Ability and willingness to work hands-on in a production environment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
