Our client, a well-established brand in the lifestyle, media, and consumer space, is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Marketing/PR Coordinator to support ongoing campaigns, media engagement, and communications strategy. Salary/Hourly Rate:
$26/hr – $30/hr Depending on experience
Position Overview:
The Marketing/PR Coordinator will assist in developing and executing public relations efforts across multiple platforms, working closely with internal teams and external media contacts. This Marketing/PR Coordinator role is ideal for someone with 1 – 3 years of experience in PR, media, or communications who is looking to gain exposure across clients, brands, and campaigns. The Marketing/PR Coordinator will report to the PR Manager and work collaboratively with the marketing and digital teams.
Responsibilities of the Marketing/PR Coordinator:
- Draft press materials, including media alerts, press releases, and pitch notes.
- Coordinate media lists, press clippings, and reporting documents for client-facing updates.
- Maintain communication with journalists, influencers, and editors as the primary point of contact for the PR Coordinator.
- Support on-site events and press activations as needed (including occasional evenings).
- Track media coverage and generate weekly and monthly PR recaps.
- Assist with internal project coordination and calendar management for the PR team.
- Serve as the Marketing/PR Coordinator liaison between the team and external partners/vendors.
Required Experience/Skills for the Marketing/PR Coordinator:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in public relations, media, or communications.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills; able to craft clean, compelling copy.
- Familiarity with PR tools (Muck Rack, Cision, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Confident, professional demeanor – especially in client and media-facing interactions.
- Enthusiasm for storytelling, culture, and brand messaging from a PR Coordinator perspective.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Marketing/PR Coordinator:
- Previous agency or lifestyle/consumer brand PR experience.
- Interest in the NYC media landscape.
- Knowledge of influencer marketing trends.
- Visual eye for presentations or event collateral is a plus.
- Ability to think creatively and pitch fresh ideas as a proactive Marketing/PR Coordinator.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field is required.
