Our client is a rapidly growing diagnostic solutions company at the forefront of innovation. They are looking to add a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$40/hr – $45/hr (+10% Night shift differential)

Position Overview:

As a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic results. You will assist in both pre-analytical and analytical processes, working closely with experienced technologists to ensure accuracy and efficiency in patient testing. This is a hands-on opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative, fast-paced lab environment.

Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT):

  • Support testing processes approved by CAP, NY, and CLIA.
  • Follow established SOPs for all lab procedures.
  • Prepare reagents and assay materials.
  • Assist with instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor inventory and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Dispose of biohazardous waste safely and properly.
  • Document test performance and quality control activities.
  • Communicate effectively with lab leadership and team members.
  • Uphold all safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Skills for the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT):

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • 0 – 2 years of experience preferred in a CAP/CLIA-accredited lab. 
  • Active Florida state license.
  • Molecular Biology or Microbiology field experience. 

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT):

  • Strong data entry and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). 

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in a scientific field is required.
