They are seeking an Oncology Nurse who will assist in transforming the cancer system for the better!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$39.90/hr

Position Overview:

The Oncology Nurse will assist with guiding cancer patients through a complex healthcare system by providing personalized support, quality resources and quick access to high-value care. The Oncology Nurse assist with clinical support such as symptom management, nutritional support, coordinating discharge, connecting members to high quality providers, and supporting readmission preventions.

Responsibilities of the Oncology Nurse:

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with your members, including listening and empathy with every interaction
  • Embrace Care Team policies and procedures, escalation pathways, communications best practices, and documentation standards
  • Engage and support our members in compliance with efficiency metrics and quality standards
  • Support members and partner with providers in the oncology care continuum from screening, diagnosis, surgery, and ongoing treatment to survivorship or end-of-life
  • Be able to identify and prioritize a member’s needs and assist them with care coordination
  • Monitor member progress, provide regular updates, and establish targeted support plans with the healthcare team in case conferences
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with payers and providers to optimize care and prevent readmissions for our members
  • Partner with non-clinical Care Team members to support the member’s social determinants of health needs, for example, food resources, transportation access, support at home
  • Be available for urgent clinical escalations and clinical consult support

Qualifications for the Oncology Nurse:

  • Must have active Compact Nursing License
  • Must be able to work the required hours of 11:30AM-8PM EST (OPEN TO ALL TIMEZONES)
  • Willingness to complete ongoing required state licensure as needed
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Must have at least 4 to 5 years of experience with 3 years focus on oncology nursing or case management
  • Must have excellent/effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be mindful of members and act with compassion
  • Ability to take initiative and adjust to fast paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize patient needs and cater to each individual

Education Requirements:

  • Must have active Compact Nursing License
  • Must have OC N
  • Active RN
  • BS N required
