Salary/Hourly Rate:
$65/hr – $70/hr
Position Overview:
The Pharmacist will work full time over the weekends, Fridays, Saturday and Sundays with the additional option to work Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons, 32 hours per week. The ideal Pharmacist will have an interest in medical marijuana and its benefits as well as be able to take a friendly and engaging approach to patient consultations.
Responsibilities of the Pharmacist:
- Take an active and personable approach to consultation of patients following COVID-19 safety protocol.
- Assist with documentation and regulatory procedures regarding deliveries and shipments.
- Train staff regarding policy and procedures- looking for new ways to make the site more efficient and welcoming for patients.
- Assist in audits and complete documentation for any discrepancies.
- Review medical cards for legitimacy.
- Create effective systems for internal organization and communication.
- Complete necessary, state required paperwork and maintain organized documentation.
- Set the tone as a mentor and leader in the dispensary among the staff.
- Assist as needed with needs in the dispensary.
Required Experience/Skills for the Pharmacist:
- Be a New York State licensed Pharmacist, experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
- Ability to learn and operate new software and POS systems.
- The ability to empathize and communicate effectively with myriad patients.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Pharmacist:
- Knowledge of medical marijuana a plus, but must, at least, be supportive and excited about the benefits of cannabis.
- Leadership Experience.
- Experience working with audits.
Education:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or BS in Pharmacy with active Pharmacist license.
