Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of eyewear products in the industry, including optical frames, sunglasses, and reading frames. They are seeking a Product Development Assistant.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50k – $52k

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Product Development Assistant for the Product Development team to assist in all areas of development related to sunglasses and readers for private label and branded collections from initial design to final product launch.

Responsibilities of the Product Development Assistant:

  • Collaborate with the Design team for product concepts in alignment with the company’s vision and brand identity
  • Coordinate the sample development process, including sourcing materials, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring sample quality
  • Manage timelines and deadlines for timely delivery of samples and products
  • Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams
  • Conduct product fittings and participate in garment review meetings
  • Assist in cost negotiations with vendors
  • Maintain accurate product development records and documentation
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and innovations

Qualifications for the Product Development Assistant:

  • 1 year of experience in product development
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Canva, and NuOrder

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, or a related field is required
