The company emphasizes innovation, safety, and regulatory excellence throughout the product lifecycle. They’re looking to add a seasoned Product Stewardship Specialist II to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$110k – $125k
Position Overview:
The Product Stewardship Specialist II is responsible for ensuring product compliance with chemical regulations across the Americas, Europe and Asia. This role is key to evaluating regulatory risks, and collaborating with internal teams to maintain global product safety standards.
Responsibilities of the Product Stewardship Specialist II:
- Maintain chemical regulatory compliance in the Americas (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Latin America).
- Respond to customer and manufacturing site regulatory inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve compliance issues.
- Complete regulatory reporting obligations (e.g., TSCA, CEPA, regional Latin American requirements).
- Provide technical support for new product development and hazard classification.
- Monitor evolving regulations and assess their potential impact on business activities.
- Develop SOPs and lead internal training on regulatory matters.
Required Experience/Skills for the Product Stewardship Specialist II:
- Strong chemistry background.
- Experience as a product stewardship specialist or advisor is required.
- Strong regulatory background and familiar with regulations – TSCA, CEPA, US EPA, Latin America Regulations.
- PMN submissions experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of GHS classification principles.
- Exposure to SAP EHS or SDS authoring tools.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Product Stewardship Specialist II:
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams on compliance matters.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science.
