Our client is a growing site development company specializing in grading, utilities, stormwater systems, and turnkey civil construction solutions for commercial and residential projects across the Southeast. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Site Development with a strong background in site development to join our client’s team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$125k – $150k Annually (Plus Bonus)

Position Overview:

This position requires a proven leader who can manage multiple projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. Candidates should have prior experience working with civil contractors on sitework packages, including grading, drainage, utility installation, and erosion control.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager – Site Development:

  • Manage all phases of site development projects, from planning to closeout.
  • Oversee budgets, project schedules, and construction documentation.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, field crews, and vendors.
  • Ensure sitework is completed according to engineering plans and specifications.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Identify and resolve issues quickly to avoid project delays.
  • Create and submit accurate pay applications.
  • Collaborate with accounting on cost tracking and invoicing.

Required Experience/Skills for the Project Manager – Site Development:

  • 5+ years of experience managing site development projects.
  • Strong understanding of grading, stormwater, erosion control, and underground utilities.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting civil construction plans.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple active jobs simultaneously.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Project Manager – Site Development:

  • Experience working for a civil or site development contractor.
  • Familiarity with local permitting and inspection processes in Georgia.
  • OSHA 30 or PMP Certification is a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
