Our client is a top mortgage broker and they are seeking a Property Accountant to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60k – $80k

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Property Accountant who can process accounts payable and cash receipts, analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, and prepare monthly financial statements, and annual, and tax work papers.

Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:

  • Perform all accounting transactions
  • Prepare annual budgets
  • Meet deadlines for monthly financial reporting
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Process receipts daily
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations

Qualifications for the Property Accountant:

  • 5 years of Accounting experience is needed
  • Property Management/Real Estate and payroll experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills
  • History of longevity with the same employer
  • Excellent Knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Strong knowledge of English grammar

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
