Client Overview:
Our client is a leading consumer goods company. Their team is now looking for a Quality Control Chemist.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$22/hr – $24/hr
Position Overview:
The Quality Control Chemist is responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and consistency of products by adhering to established standards, conducting thorough testing, and maintaining accurate records,
Responsibilities of the Quality Control Chemist:
- Perform quality control testing on finished goods, bulk, stability, and raw materials using lab techniques like HPLC, GC, UV, ICP, KF, FTIR, and titrations.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab instruments.
- Record test results accurately in lab notebooks and logbooks.
- Review data from other team members for accuracy.
- Support lab investigations with additional testing when needed.
- Keep the lab clean, safe, and compliant with safety and GMP rules.
- Follow all company procedures and guidelines.
- Work well with team members and other departments as the Quality Control Chemist.
- Order supplies and manage chemical inventory.
- Handle other tasks as assigned.
Required Experience/Skills of the Quality Control Chemist:
- 1 – 3 years of lab experience, strong academic experience will be considered.
- Experience with HPLC or ICP preferred.
- Good with lab equipment and chemical handling.
- Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP or LIMS experience is a plus.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
