Our client is a Boston-based property management company. We are seeking a dedicated Recertification Specialist to join our client’s robust property management team in Boston.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$25/hr – $28/hr

Position Overview:

The Recertification Specialist will execute the annual recertification process and maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with HUD, Tax Credit, and other applicable regulations. This is a contract-to-hire position, on-site at our client’s office 5 days per week.

Responsibilities of the Recertification Specialist:

  • Implement and oversee the annual income recertification process for all tenants, ensuring timelines and regulatory restrictions are adhered to.
  • Conduct applicant certifications and send necessary notices regarding the recertification process.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all recertification paperwork, interview notes, tenant files, and correspondence.
  • Process all incoming recertification packets for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in handling complaints, resolving problems, and answering inquiries regarding the recertification process from residents.
  • Stay updated on current HUD, state, and local regulations surrounding resident eligibility and recertification.
  • Maintain constant communication and collaborate with the Property Management team to ensure smooth operations and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications for the Recertification Specialist:

  • 1 – 3 years experience in property management with recertification process.
  • Knowledge of Yardi or RealPage software.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate’s degree is preferred.
