Salary/Hourly Rate:

$20/hr – $25/hr DOE

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research & Development (R&D) Technician to join their R&D team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in cosmetic product formulation, testing, and development. You will work closely with senior scientists to support new product innovation and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities of the Research & Development (R&D) Technician:

  • Assist in formulating skincare, haircare, and personal care products.
  • Conduct laboratory testing for stability, compatibility, and performance.
  • Prepare and maintain samples, raw materials, and documentation.
  • Operate and calibrate lab equipment (pH meters, viscometers, centrifuges).
  • Record and analyze data in compliance with GLP/GMP standards.
  • Support product development projects, including ingredient research and prototype preparation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing).

Required Experience/Skills for the Research & Development (R&D) Technician:

  • Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Research & Development (R&D) Technician:

  • Familiarity with cosmetic formulation and emulsion systems.
  • Experience with instrumentation (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis) is a plus.
  • Understanding of surfactants and active ingredients.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Cosmetic Science, or a related field is required.
