Our client is a long-standing nonprofit organization looking to add a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for an experienced professional who can work in a team just as effectively as they and work independently.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$31/hr – $33/hr

Position Overview:

Senior Accountant applicants must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Our client is looking for 3 – 5 years of experience with month-end close, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, etc. The ideal candidate should be hardworking and comfortable with meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Background in the non-profit industry and experience working with grants is a plus.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Preparing financial analyses and reports
  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts
  • Overseeing and coordinating with staff on Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Responsible for updating/reviewing the forecast on possibly a weekly, monthly, and year-end basis
  • Working on budget and financials to prepare for a board and executives

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel skills
  • ERP systems
  • Leadership, communication, and financial analysis on an Accounting team are all a big plus

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or related field
