Salary/Hourly Rate:

$80k – $95k

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal Senior Accountant candidate will have at least 3 years of general accounting experience and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting.
  • Support audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
  • Analyze financial data and provide variance analysis.
  • Maintain and improve internal accounting controls and procedures.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments as needed.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

  • 3+ years of general accounting experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks Enterprise).
  • Public accounting or audit experience.
  • CPA or CPA candidate.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
