Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our client’s dynamic Finance team. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial reporting, while supporting key strategic decision-making initiatives. This position offers exposure to monthly close processes, audit preparation, and continuous process improvement. This is a hands-on opportunity to grow within a collaborative, high-performing finance environment.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and internal reporting packages. 
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and audit schedules.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger activity.
  • Partner with AP/AR to manage cash flow and enforce internal controls.
  • Assist with tax compliance and monitor regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Support private equity reporting, consolidation, investor inquiries, and due diligence.
  • Liaise with external auditors, drive improvements to accounting policies and internal controls, identify automation opportunities, and mentor junior accounting staff.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

  • 4 – 6 years of progressive accounting experience (corporate or public).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (IFRS a plus).
  • Experience working in or with private equity-backed organizations.
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas).
  • ERP systems experience (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in multinational or high-volume environments.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

  • CPA or CMA (or actively pursuing).
  • Background in high-growth, fast-paced, or PE-backed environments.
  • Experience with financial modeling and reporting dashboards.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
