Senior Accountant

Our client is a consumer services organization. They are looking for a Senior Accountant to be in their beautiful open office in West Palm Beach. This is a collaborative, fun environment with an opportunity to make an impact on the lives of people in the community.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$80k – $90k

Position Overview:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the company’s financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• General Ledger Management as Senior Accountant: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Review and post journal entries, and monitor transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and customer collections.
• Month-end and Year-end Close: Senior Accountant will lead the month-end and year-end closing processes. Coordinate with other teams to ensure all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported within set timelines.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to key stakeholders.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct a detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for cost optimization.
• Tax Compliance: The Senior Accountant will assist in preparing tax returns and provide support during audits. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external tax advisors as needed.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

• 4 years minimum experience in full-cycle accounting.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting, including financial reporting and month-end close.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

• Professional and excellent communication.
• Organized, articulate, with good writing and verbal skills.
• Attention to detail.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
