Our client is a respected organization looking to add to their growing team. They are now seeking a Senior Accountant.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$105k – $115k
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will lead all accounting efforts for Payroll Reporting & Compliance. This role is responsible for overseeing payroll-related accounting, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The position also supports leadership through audit preparation, data analysis, and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Prepare and analyze payroll and benefits-related accounting reports.
- Ensure payroll entries, reconciliations, and accruals are accurate and compliant.
- Conduct internal audits and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and reporting regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to align payroll reporting and compliance procedures.
- Support external audits and assist with financial statement preparation as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, payroll accounting, or audit.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, Workday, etc.).
- Familiarity with HR/payroll platforms (ADP, UltiPro, HRMS).
- Advanced Excel or database management skills.
- Exposure to multi-state payroll or compliance environments.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and organizational skills.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
