Salary/Hourly Rate:
$150k – $170k
Position Overview:
The Senior Accounts Receivable Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring efficient billing, collections, cash application, and credit management processes. This leadership role is responsible for optimizing cash flow, reducing DSO, strengthening internal controls, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with strong leadership capabilities and deep technical accounting knowledge.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accounts Receivable Manager:
- Oversee full-cycle Accounts Receivable operations including billing, cash application, collections, and credit management.
- Develop and implement AR policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor aging reports and proactively manage delinquent accounts.
- Drive initiatives to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve cash flow.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
- Prepare AR metrics, KPIs, and reporting packages for senior leadership.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes in coordination with Accounting leadership.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company financial policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop AR team members.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accounts Receivable Manager:
- 8+ years of progressive Accounts Receivable or accounting experience.
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
- Proven ability to improve AR processes and reduce DSO.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accounts Receivable Manager:
- Experience in a mid-to-large size organization ($100M+ revenue).
- Background in multi-entity or multi-location environments.
- Experience leading ERP implementations or AR automation initiatives.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
