Client Overview:

Our client is a fast-growing and dynamic financial services organization specializing in asset-based lending and floor plan financing across a variety of industries, including Marine, RVs, Manufactured Housing, Trailers, Power Sports, Construction, and Technology. This company is committed to delivering flexible financing solutions tailored to inventory-based businesses and dealer networks. Their team is now looking for a Senior Commercial Credit Underwriter/Analyst.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50/hr – $52/hr

Position Overview:

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Commercial Credit Underwriter/Analyst to join the underwriting team. This role focuses on conducting customer due diligence, analyzing financial statements, and managing the credit approval process for medium to large clients with complex structures—particularly those within asset-based and floor plan lending programs. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in commercial credit analysis, risk management, and structured finance with a passion for supporting growing dealer and distributor relationships.

Responsibilities of the Senior Commercial Credit Underwriter/Analyst:

  • Conduct in-depth credit analysis and due diligence for medium to large commercial clients, especially those financed through asset-based and floor plan lending.
  • Structure complex credit facilities and negotiate loan documentation to mitigate risk appropriately.
  • Complete detailed annual financial reviews for existing clients, providing credit line recommendations, documentation updates, and ongoing risk assessment.
  • Assess dealer performance, inventory levels, and financial trends to make informed recommendations regarding credit exposure and collateral requirements.
  • Manage risk within a designated portfolio by analyzing significant changes, including ownership restructuring, collateral shifts, and product expansions.
  • Handle special reviews involving temporary credit increases, overlines, high-risk triggers, and product add-ons within asset-backed lending programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to clarify documentation needs and maintain strong, communicative relationships.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations outlining financial and risk profiles, proposed credit terms, and deal structures.
  • Participate in projects that support portfolio health, compliance, and continuous improvement in credit processes.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Commercial Credit Underwriter/Analyst:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial lending and underwriting.
  • Experience with floor plan lending.
  • Experience with financial analyst and credit underwriting.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data, especially within inventory or asset-backed structures.
  • Proven experience structuring credit facilities secured by inventory, equipment, or receivables.
  • Ability to present credit findings to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with audit processes, compliance guidelines, and credit risk frameworks.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Commercial Credit Underwriter/Analyst:

  • Experience in developing or maintaining workflow and credit tracking tools.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
  • Relevant certifications such as CFA or CPA are a plus.
