Client Overview:

Our client is a well-established and steadily growing manufacturing organization that is seeking a motivated and analytical Senior Demand Planner to join the Operations team. This is a newly created position driven by business expansion, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact and help shape inventory and demand planning processes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$40/hr

Position Overview:

The Senior Demand Planner will play a key role in developing demand forecasts, managing inventory levels, and supporting efficient supply chain operations. This position requires a proactive and flexible professional who is comfortable in a newly created role and eager to bring forward ideas and process improvements.

Responsibilities of the Senior Demand Planner:

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts to support purchasing and production planning.
  • Analyze inventory trends, usage, and replenishment requirements to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sourcing, finance, and operations teams to align forecasts with business objectives.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and identify potential risks related to shortages or excess inventory.
  • Generate and interpret data-driven reports to track KPIs, forecasting accuracy, and inventory health.
  • Utilize ERP and advanced Excel tools to support planning decisions and identify process improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and standardization of new inventory management procedures.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Demand Planner:

  • Proven experience in inventory planning, demand planning, or supply chain analysis, preferably within manufacturing or consumer goods.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
  • Experience using Epicor ERP or similar ERP systems.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Demand Planner:

  • Experience in manufacturing, CPG, or distribution environments.
  • Background in forecasting, production scheduling, or demand planning across multiple product lines.
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement or systems optimization.
  • Ability to develop and implement best practices in a new or growing department.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
