Our client is a growing company that creates personal care products, appealing to a wide audience. The company creates a professional and inclusive environment for employees in a very nice facility. Their team is now looking for a Senior Process Engineer.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$125k – $135K
Position Overview:
The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for innovation, optimization, and scale-up of manufacturing operations for personal care products. The Senior Process Engineer is critical in enhancing process efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, improving product quality, and facilitating the successful launch of new products within a GMP environment.
Responsibilities of the Senior Process Engineer:
- Developing and refining manufacturing processes for a variety of personal care products, including color products.
- Leveraging expertise in cGMP, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies, the Senior Process Engineer will implement robust, scalable systems to support commercial production.
- Collaborating with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Manufacturing teams will be vital to ensure smooth technology transfer from development through commercial scale-up.
- Ensuring processes comply with FDA, ISO, and other regulatory standards. Support investigations, CAPAs, and validation activities as needed.
- Leading the process engineering components of capital projects, including equipment specification, commissioning, and validation.
- Handling budgets and timelines for both process improvement and new product introduction initiatives.
- Maintaining SOPs, batch records, and validation protocols.
- Analyzing process performance using Minitab or JMP.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Process Engineer:
- 6 – 8+ years of experience as a Process Engineer in a GMP environment.
- Experience working with colors.
- Experience supervising or leading more junior staff is highly preferred, but the Senior Process Engineer should have a passion for leadership and a desire to manage in the future.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse population, mentor others and constructively coach junior staff.
- Proven success in strategic thinking, project execution and project management.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required (could be another scientific degree with ample experience), but a Master’s degree would be preferred.
