Our client is a leading provider of plumbing, lighting, and electrical supplies, serving both residential and commercial markets. The upscale showroom is designed to showcase high-quality products while offering customers an elevated experience. From homeowners and interior designers to contractors and developers, they focus on building lasting relationships through exceptional service and expertise. They are now looking for a Showroom Sales Consultant.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50k – $55k with up to 15% – 20% performance bonus

Position Overview:

The Showroom Sales Consultant must be professional, customer-focused for the Brunswick, GA location. The ideal candidate will be confident engaging with a wide range of clients, from plumbers and contractors to high-net-worth developers and will present themselves with polish and professionalism. Experience in interior design is highly valued, as it enhances the ability to understand client vision, provide tailored solutions, and strengthen long-term relationships. This role requires strong product knowledge, design sensibility, and the ability to deliver personalized recommendations that drive sales growth.

Responsibilities of the Showroom Sales Consultant:

  • Greet and assist customers in the showroom, providing personalized product recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse clientele, from tradespeople to developers and homeowners.
  • Use interior design expertise to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their vision.
  • Present products professionally and persuasively, demonstrating design knowledge and industry expertise.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to achieve sales goals and maintain showroom standards.
  • Stay current on product offerings, design trends, and industry developments to better serve clients.
  • Manage sales transactions and follow up on leads to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Set clear expectations and maintain timely communication throughout the sales process.
  • Keep accurate client information, including communication preferences.

Required Experience/Skills for the Showroom Sales Consultant:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in a retail or showroom environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact effectively across all levels.
  • Professional presence and polished presentation skills.
  • Knowledge or experience in interior design highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changes.
  • High energy, customer-focused, and a quick learner.
  • High stress tolerance with proven ability to excel in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Showroom Sales Consultant:

  • Background in interior design, architecture, or related fields.
  • Experience in plumbing, lighting, or construction supply sales.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with high-value clients.
  • Ability to assist clients with design choices and product selection to create cohesive and functional spaces.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
