Our client is a well established and growing design and planning firm. They are now looking for a Site Planner, and many partnerships already in place that will provide opportunity for the successful candidate.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$85k – $90k

Position Overview:

The Site Planner helps establish community visions and work alongside talented individuals to drive these visions through full design, construction and to reality. Provide integral support to land acquisition efforts by championing conceptual layouts to staff, internal stakeholders, and by identifying risks/opportunities during due diligence as Site Planner.

Responsibilities of the Site Planner:

  • Experience with AutoCAD to develop commercial or government projects while understanding rules and regulations.
  • Schedule and participate in pre-development, zoning and platting meetings with municipal staff and key stakeholders.
  • Create and manage project schedules for all communities relating to entitlement, zoning, planning, and community amenities for approvals.
  • Attend Planning and Zoning meetings and City Council meetings as needed.
  • Manage community amenity process and create communication with appropriate parties/internal teams.
  • Keep accurate site detail (count, classification, design, etc.) in our internal system and planning platforms.
  • Handle master plans current including design changes and lot mix.
  • Manage internal process management and timely lot fit and sales release process.

Required Experience/Skills for the Site Planner:

  • 5 years minimum experience in site planning, master planning or park design.
  • Strong AutoCAD experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Research and understanding of rules, regulations, and codes.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Site Planner:

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written skills.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning.
