Our client, a Real Estate Investment Firm seeking a proficient Staff Accountant to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60,000 – $75,000

Position Overview:

The successful Staff Accountant candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations and reporting, while adhering to general accepted accounting principles, financial policies, and laws. The Staff Accountant consolidate and evaluate financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc.) taking into account the company’s goals and financial standing.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

  • Prepare and document financial transactions by entering account information, including income statements and balance sheets
  • Manage accounts payables, accounts receivables, and payroll
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of every bank account
  • Administer tax planning and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Collaborate with finance team on budgeting and forecasting tasks
  • Ensure accounting systems, procedures, and policies are in line with company’s goals and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports or as needed
  • Offer support to the finance team during the annual budgeting process

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

  • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant role
  • Strong familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
  • Strong analytics, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work within a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
