Client Overview:

Our client is a fast-growing contract manufacturer in the personal care space. They are currently looking to expand their team by bringing on a Supply Planner.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$28/hr – $33/hr (Based on relevant experience)

Position Overview:

The Supply Planner will manage end-to-end supply planning activities for North American manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing supply plans that align with inventory targets and demand forecasts, ensuring material availability to meet production goals. The Supply Planner will schedule, release, and track requirements throughout the production cycle through to shipment, supporting on-time delivery and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities of the Supply Planner:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules for components aligned with forecasted demand.
  • Ensure data accuracy for materials, purchase order timelines, and system updates.
  • Manage inventory levels and minimize excess while supporting production and customer delivery requirements.
  • Forecast and manage capacity planning schedules, considering equipment and labor constraints.
  • Serve as a liaison between operations, sales, and corporate teams to address production issues and schedule changes.
  • Track and report on component “weeks-on-hand” metrics monthly.
  • Minimize waste during product or artwork transitions by effectively managing SKU changes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate setup of new items.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes to increase agility and reduce inefficiencies.

Required Experience/Skills for the Supply Planner:

  • 1 – 2 years of supply planning or related experience
  • Strong understanding of planning principles (MPS, MRP, and DRP).
  • Familiarity with end-to-end supply chain functions.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Highly process-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Supply Planner: 

  • Proficiency in SAP is preferred.

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is required.
