Our client is a leading global lifestyle and consumer products company. They are now looking for an excellent Vice President of Vendor Compliance.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$125k – $130k
Position Overview:
This Vice President of Vendor Compliance role is based in Miami, FL and requires on-site presence five days a week with travel up to 20–30% to distribution centers nationwide. This role is responsible for managing chargebacks, ensuring retailer compliance, and supporting specialty and department store accounts.
Responsibilities of the Vice President of Vendor Compliance:
- Lead compliance operations for specialty and department store accounts, including other key retail partners.
- Review, analyze, and dispute customer chargebacks and non-compliance penalties.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) across distribution centers.
- Negotiate customer settlements and resolve retailer deductions related to vendor compliance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (distribution, logistics, sales, finance) to mitigate compliance risks and drive operational improvements.
- Develop strategies to reduce chargeback exposure and streamline compliance reporting.
- Travel to U.S. distribution centers (20–30%) to oversee operations and ensure compliance processes are followed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Vice President of Vendor Compliance:
- 8+ years of experience in vendor compliance, ideally within large-scale apparel, fashion, or consumer products.
- Strong background managing retailer compliance penalties, chargebacks, non-compliance fines, and SLA violations.
- Proven track record in large company environments (>$200M+ in annual sales).
- Experience working with department store accounts; exposure to major key players (like Kohl’s/Walmart) is a strong plus.
- ERP proficiency.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Vice President of Vendor Compliance:
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) strongly preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
