Our client, a rapidly growing construction organization, is looking for a dynamic Accounts Payable Manager to join their Accounting team at their corporate offices based in Riverview, FL. Salary/Hourly Rate:

$90k – $100k

Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Manager will work alongside the Assistant Controller and the Accounting department to support the Accounts Payable and month-end close process. This Accounts Payable Manager must be able to pivot and prioritize based on demands. The Accounts Payable Manager will be offered exposure to work directly with Senior Management teams.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager:

  • Manages and trains the team of AP staff.
  • Reviews AP transactions and leads month-end close activity.
  • Enforces and upholds SOPs and new internal controls to ensure efficient processing of AP.
  • Investigates variances and suspicious AP activity.
  • Vendor management and negotiations. Maintains an extensive list of repeat vendor relationships.
  • Assists in implementing new policies and procedures to cut down AP processing times.
  • Oversees compliance and lien release responsibilities on all assets.
  • Responsible for year-end 1099 preparation and reporting.
  • Performs other ad-hoc related duties when necessary.

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Manager:

  • 3 – 5+ years’ minimum of experience – prior supervisory experience is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of AP automation processes and software and/or implementation of AP automation.
  • Knowledge of complex intercompany transactions and high-volume environment.
  • Proven work experience in a management, supervisory, or lead position.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is highly preferred but not required.
