Analytical Chemist

Our client, an industry-leading cosmetics and beauty brand, is seeking an Analytical Chemist to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on various products and raw materials. Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22/hr – $26/hr

Position Overview:

This Analytical Chemist position is a contract position focused on analysis using mainly HPLC and GC. An Analytical Chemist is needed who has hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining HPLC and GC instrumentation. The Analytical Chemist will be a multi-tasker who is independently motivated.

Responsibilities of the Analytical Chemist:

• The Analytical Chemist will perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HPLC and GC
• Operate and basic maintenance of lab equipment
• Complete and maintain accurate record-keeping in a highly regulated setting
• Prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines and switch projects quickly
• Prepare necessary technical reporting and interpret data to communicate findings

Qualifications for the Analytical Chemist:

• At least 2 years of industry experience focusing on the use of the HPLC and GC instruments
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with others
• Experience in a fast-paced GMP environment
• A hands-on approach to solving problems
• Experience with Empower required

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (analytical is preferred)
