Our client is a global apparel manufacturer. They are seeking for a self-starting, team player Buyer who is motivated by success and thrives in a dynamic collaborative environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$18 – $23/hr DOE

Position Overview:

The Buyer will effectively source raw materials globally while building relationships with vendors and suppliers. The Buyer negotiate with suppliers on key terms, including product cost, payment terms, production and packaging MOQs (minimum production and minimum order quantities), production lead time, and shipping.

Responsibilities of the Buyer:

  • Purchase and maintain optimum levels of inventory to fulfill production needs
  • Expedite purchases and maintain an updated delivery schedule
  • Identify, assess, qualify and onboard the best products and suppliers to meet requirements
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of On-Time/In-Full metric as well as other replenishment, supplier performance and cost savings metrics
  • Develop, implement and improve upon procurement processes and procedures
  • Fosters the necessary skillset to mentor and coach new team members to enhance their career and professional development

Qualifications for the Buyer:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing, product development, project management, and/or strategic vendor management (security of supply, risk mitigation)
  • Previous experience using ERP systems like SAP, AX, Oracle, etc.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management is required
