Client Overview:

Our client is a privately-owned manufacturing company that specializes in the food and beverage industry. They are the leading provider in the industry, have state-of-the-art facilities, and customer application centers throughout the USA. Their team is now looking for a Vendor Management Specialist!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$23/hr – $26/hr

Position Overview:

The Vendor Management Specialist will work with account managers, sales, supply chain, and accounting on fulfilling orders, pricing, assessing inventory, and tracking shipments for current vendors and new customers. 

Responsibilities of the Vendor Management Specialist:

  • Review pricing, lead times, product availability, and shipping status to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Update and manage customer information in the company’s CRM system. 
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emails, inquiries, and complaints, following up as necessary to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Review the open order report daily, notifying customers of any changes and addressing concerns proactively.
  • Initiate Return Authorizations or Credit Memos as necessary and follow up until resolution.
  • Record customer interactions, including inquiries, complaints, and actions taken. 
  • Collaborate with Sales Account Managers on pricing and specific requirements to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Required Experience/Skills for the Vendor Management Specialist:

  • 3 to 5 years minimum Customer Service experience is a must.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Vendor Management Specialist:

  • 3 to 5 years of office administrative experience.
  • High volume order entry experience within a procurement department.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
