Our client is a high-profile media and entertainment organization in Los Angeles. The company supports a wide range of departments, including Production, Tech, and Broadcast, and is undergoing a significant organizational transformation. They are a fast-paced, collaborative culture with strong brand recognition. Currently, they are looking to add an HR Generalist/Junior HR Business Partner (Entertainment + Tech) to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$40/hr – $65/hr Depending on experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking a temporary HR Generalist/Junior HR Business Partner (Entertainment + Tech) to join a dynamic HR team supporting roughly 800 employees across entertainment, tech, and production functions. This is a 90-day temp role tied to a large-scale workforce reorganization, with a strong likelihood of extension. The ideal HR Generalist/Junior HR Business Partner (Entertainment + Tech) brings hands-on experience in employee relations and org changes, thrives in fast-moving environments, and is comfortable acting as both a tactical partner and strategic contributor.

Responsibilities of the HR Generalist/Junior HR Business Partner (Entertainment + Tech):

  • Act as a trusted HR Generalist/HR Business Partner to production, tech, and broadcast teams.
  • Provide support in employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, onboarding, and training.
  • Partner with the Director of HRBP to drive strategy and support workforce reorganization efforts.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on staffing plans, including seasonal and agency hiring.
  • Execute HR projects and initiatives with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Provide high-touch, professional support with discretion and a proactive mindset.
  • Maintain HR documentation and assist with reporting and compliance.
  • Work onsite daily at a lively, entertainment-focused headquarters co-located with a major stadium.

Required Experience/Skills for the HR Generalist/Junior HR Business Partner (Entertainment + Tech):

  • 5 – 10 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong employee relations background, including performance management and PIPs.
  • Hands-on involvement in at least one workforce reorganization, restructuring, or similar project.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage HR initiatives from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication, follow-through, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with discretion, tact, and professionalism.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the HR Generalist/Junior HR Business Partner (Entertainment + Tech):

  • Experience in media, entertainment, or tech environments.
  • Familiarity with Oracle HRIS (training provided).
  • Comfortable in a “player-coach” role: strategic thinker with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
