Client Overview:

Our client is a leading non-profit research organization with a long-standing legacy in cosmetic science. They are now looking for a Lab Technician.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$23/hr – $25/hr

Position Overview:

The Lab Technician will support the clinical claims testing team by assisting with research projects through laboratory testing and analysis. This Lab Technician role involves performing chemical and physical tests using a variety of scientific instruments and methodologies to support qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities of the Lab Technician:

  • Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gases.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation including HPLC, GC, MS, Infrared Spectroscopy (IR), and Confocal Microscopy.
  • Perform color testing and analysis to ensure product claims meet established standards.
  • Document and report experimental data in required formats.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new testing methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and maintain equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Collaborate with team members on experimental design, troubleshooting, and data interpretation.

Required Experience/Skills for the Lab Technician:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, IR Spectroscopy, and Confocal Microscopy.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety, quality assurance, and compliance protocols.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
