Our client, an exciting and innovative fashion company dedicated to creating cutting-edge designs that inspire and empower individuals worldwide. They are seeking a talented Fashion Kids, or Women’s Technical Designer to join their team for a freelance assignment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$35/hr max

Position Overview:

As a Technical Designer, you will play a crucial role in translating conceptual designs into production-ready garments that meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. The Technical Designer will collaborate closely with pattern makers, and production teams to ensure that our collections are not only visually stunning but also functional and well-constructed.

Responsibilities of the Technical Designer:

  • Collaborate with the design team to understand and interpret design concepts
  • Must be able to work on full Technical Designer pkg’s, for Kids, or Women’s Cut & Sew Knits, Woven’s, and etc.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical drawings, including flat sketches, spec sheets, and construction notes
  • Develop and communicate garment specifications to overseas manufacturers
  • Attend fit sessions and provide feedback on prototypes to ensure garments meet design and quality standards, and work on fit comments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the production process

Qualifications for the Technical Designer:

  • Proficient in experience in Excel, & PLM
  • 5 years experience in apparel Kids, or Women’s Technical Design
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace environment

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
